With over 15 years of experience in the dental field, Misty Wilson brings extensive knowledge, skill, and compassion to her role as a dental hygienist. Her journey began as a dental assistant in 2007, eventually advancing to clinic director before earning her Dental Hygiene degree from Salt Lake Community College in 2013, where she graduated as class valedictorian and served as class president both years.
Misty’s favorite part of her work is helping patients feel better—whether it’s relieving pain through local anesthetic or treating periodontal abscesses. She’s also passionate about empowering patients to improve their oral health and boost their confidence through better hygiene habits. Her advice is simple yet effective: Stay on top of your cleaning schedule and use an electric toothbrush at home.
Misty understands that dental visits can feel intimidating, especially for patients who may be embarrassed about their oral health. She approaches every situation with compassion and reminds her patients that her chair is a judgment-free zone. No matter the circumstances, Misty’s focus is on helping patients achieve healthier, happier smiles.
Before joining Abundant Dental Care, Misty worked as a professional dental educator for five years, teaching dental professionals worldwide. She also appeared in over a dozen continuing education videos and participated in clinical research studies, evaluating dental products and contributing to long-term research.
Misty values Abundant Dental Care’s commitment to high standards, advanced technology, and continuous learning — qualities that align perfectly with her dedication to growth and excellence.
Outside of work, Misty enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the arts, and attending live theater with her season tickets. She’s also passionate about participating in religious studies and finding ways to deepen her understanding.
One of Misty’s most memorable moments as a hygienist was helping a patient who had experienced homelessness for many years. After a deep cleaning, the patient told her that he finally felt comfortable smiling again. It was a powerful reminder of why Misty chose this profession — to help people feel confident, cared for, and proud of their smiles.
