ORAL SEDATION DENTISTRY
Oral sedation dentistry is a form of conscious sedation that alleviates anxiety and pain during dental procedures. You will be given an oral sedative that will assist you with any dental anxiety from prior dental trauma or simply a general fear of going to the dentist. Abundant Dental Care follows all guidelines set forth by the American Dental Association, and our staff is fully educated and trained to administer oral sedation at our Abundant Dental Care dental practices.
SLEEP DENTISTRY
For more complex dental treatments, Abundant Dental Care in Utah offers intravenous (IV) sedation (sleep dentistry). This option is available for all patients who require extensive dental work, suffer from back or neck problems, or simply require more sedation to alleviate anxiety or fear of dental visits. You will experience complete relaxation during and after your procedure, and you will have little to no memory of the procedure itself. NITROGEN DIOXIDE (N2O)
Also known as "laughing gas", this form of conscious inhalation sedation is delivered as a breathable gas through a small mask.
