Your comfort is our top priority

If you are feeling anxious about your next trip to the dentist, Abundant Dental Care has a variety of options to enhance your dental comfort. We offer three types of sedation dentistry in Utah that will allow you to be treated by one of our experienced dentists without worry or fear.

Oral Sedation Dentistry

Oral sedation dentistry is a form of conscious sedation that alleviates anxiety and pain during dental procedures. You will be given an oral sedative that will assist you with any dental anxiety from prior dental trauma or simply a general fear of going to the dentist. Abundant Dental Care follows all guidelines set forth by the American Dental Association, and our staff is fully educated and trained to administer oral sedation at our Abundant Dental Care dental practices.

Nitrogen Dioxide (N2O)

Also known as "laughing gas", this form of conscious inhalation sedation is delivered as a breathable gas through a small mask. This method is a safe and sometimes preferred approach to making you comfortable since it is easy to tolerate for a wide variety of dental procedures, including simple cleanings and exams, fillings, crowns, x-rays, and more! If you are anxious about your next dental visit and just need something to help calm your nerves, then N2O sedation is the perfect solution.

Sleep Dentistry

For more complex dental treatments, Abundant Dental Care in Utah offers intravenous (IV) sedation (sleep dentistry). This option is available for all patients who require extensive dental work, suffer from back or neck problems, or simply require more sedation to alleviate anxiety or fear of dental visits. You will experience complete relaxation during and after your procedure, and you will have little to no memory of the procedure itself. For patients with a strong gag reflex or severe anxiety, sleep dentistry can be an ideal remedy for helping you overcome the obstacles that bar you from achieving the smile you deserve.

Dr. Simmonds professionally cared for my younger, adult son when we needed emergency care out of their normal service hours. We entered with my son in excruciating pain and exited with a smiling, happy, painless son. That's about 7 months ago. It's 11.28.2020 today and my older son is having the same problem as his bro did months ago, he saw another dentist from another practice earlier before Thanksgiving, they had him rescheduled for the following Thursday after Thanksgiving, but son couldn't take the pain anymore, he said it got worse and it was giving him headaches and starting to effect and ache his right eye. We again called Abundant Dental Care, desperately in need of help and coincidentally, Dr. Simmonds was the SUPERMAN that answered and again, professionally took care of older son, with much love and lots of professional care that helped relieved son's toothache pain and he too left the clinic with a very happy face. Our hearts are full of gratitude and thanks for Dr. Simmonds and his professional love and care for the people. We love you, Dr. Simmonds! Thanks Abundant Dental Care for giving us doctors like Dr. Kirk Simmonds. ❤🤗

I went into abundant dentistry with an abscess that was swelling half my face 2 days ago. Dr Blais and his staff in sandy were amazing! Professional gentle and kind. The best part was I was given ALL my options and it was very affordable. The staff worked hard with most professionalism and quickness. The building was clean with a warm ness and brightness that I enjoyed. The gentle Dr Blais is my hero and I would recommend him to anyone because he shown me REALLY cares about people. Even followed up with me personally the next day to check on me. I will ALWAYS choose him for my family dentist forever.
